The Estoril Congress Centre has received in 2009 certification from Green Globe International's recognised international program of continuous assessment. This program recognises the commitment of CCE in working to the highest environmental standards in the world.
By achieving Bronze status assessment, the CEC has undertaken to manage energy and water consumption, waste production and total commitment to the community, according to a program of objectives and commitments to maintain an integrated environmental and social policy. Continuing their environmental practices, the CCE also undertook to account for and offset its carbon emissions, and since January 2011 is certified by e)mission as a venue of zero CO2 emissions.
From 2011 the CCE certification process is being conducted by the certification company Earth Check and has received in 2012 the Silver Certification. (
