Winner of the “Excellency in innovation and Architecture Quality Prize” and “Best Tourism Development” in 2002, amongst other awards, the Estoril Congress Center is located on a very prominent tourist site known as the Estoril Coast, next to the famous Casino, granted with the surrounding gardens and sea views. The main purposes for the design were: specialized meeting facility areas with high flexibility usage and transparency towards outdoor views and sunlight.
Opened in 2001, the Estoril Congress Center, was design by the distinguished architect office Regino Cruz Arquitectos, who also designed other renown meeting and event facilities such as Atlântico Pavilion, Algarve Congress Center, Faro Stadium, Parque das Cidades Congress Center, etc.
Due to its modern design, equipment and structural orientation, the ECC building is extremely energy and water efficient. Still a few changes in energy equipment and waste control were applied in 2007 and, in concordance with our 2008 policy commitment to Sustainable Business and Services, a plan to change other equipment and energy resources has been development for implementation in the upcoming years.
